An inside kind of day...

I think one really could fry an egg on the deck, if one wanted to have to deal with the clean up... and I do not.  :)

After getting outside early to water the garden, most of the day will be spent inside where it is cool.  This heatwave in early June is not amusing... what happened to a real spring?  I know it is of no use to complain about the weather but it does seem to help at least a little (even if we feel no warmer or cooler or dryer).

It is a good day to watch the John Adams DVDs which are due back to the library tomorrow.  I will live in the 18th century for a few hours while transferring book and film recommendations to a yellow lined tablet... remember them... we used them before computers?

I am in Missouri and I noticed last nights weather how far north this heat is traveling. It really is strange weather we are having. Feels more like August here. Stay cool and pray for those who have to be out in the heat working.

Yes, it's a vague memory. I do know that Molly the poodle steps very spritely these days across the deck looking for a cool patch of grass. I haven't tried bare feet on the deck since I fried them a few days ago. It's hotter now.

Enjoy your inside day watching the DVDs. Sounds like it'd be a good series. I've not seen it.

I have enjoyed visiting your home virtually this week!

Stay in and stay cool! We have closed all the blinds and have on fans. And are hoping that we don't get rain so it won't be more humid!

Enjoy "JA"! What fun!

And here I am complaining about the cool 65 degree weather, and my poor chilly tomato plants.

We are hot here too! The air is on and I am babysitting my granddaughter! Soon she will be down for her nap and then I may read or watch something too.

We love the John Adams miniseries. So well done!

Try to stay cool!

The temperatures reached 100 degrees here in Northern Michigan too. It's a rarity so we don't have air conditioning. Just got to sweat it out, literally. I hear that tomorrow is supposed to be 50 degrees cooler in Chicago so we won't have to suffer to long!

We've had 12 days straight with temps in the 90's and not a drop of rain. I'm going to be in shock when I get my water bill!

pen and paper...which I thought of when you mentioned the yellow lined pad. My husband writes and records his own Christian songs and in the last five years he has moved from cassette tape recording to Cd's. Now the Cd recorder is 'obsolete' per music industry and thumbdrives are in. I told my husband that he must archive his music to preserve the lyrics and chords and perhaps we ought to return to pen and ink to do it since that has not yet become 'obsolete'!
