The fog is lifting!

Alright!  After weeks of flu, infections, and Cipro... I can think again.  Thanking God every day that this year I was able (so far) to come through winter with only one strong dosing of antibiotics.  I rarely let the affects of Juvenile Diabetes worry me but last year when it appeared antibiotics were not working (and going through months and months of various infections)... that brought about some fear.

I thank God for antibiotics all the time (and pharmacies like Meijers who provide free Cipro to the uninsured) as well as insulin.  I take five shots a day but most of the time I don't mind at all.  It truly is all about attitude.  Instead of stomping my feet and complaining about shots... I thank God that I live in an era where insulin exists!

Yesterday I baked our favorite cookies (Christopher took most of them to campus today to share with his study friends) and today I hope to begin prepping the garden and pruning dead perennials... a little bit... a tiny bit... at a time.

I will soon be writing a homeschooling series of posts (just a couple years late), a belated "what I read in March" post, a post to answer comments, and eventually another pantry post.  Someday I may even write a tea time post again.  :)

So glad you are feeling well again! But I think you have done amazingly well with your blog when you were so very much "under the weather".

It must be wonderful to feel clear headed again. My daughter complained of the lethargy and fuzziness. She's finished with her meds and you're finished with yours...all's right with the world.

Those cookies do sound fantastic. Funny story. I recently found all the ingredients for said cookies in my cooler. Yes, in my picnic cooler. It is stored in the front closet, which we use as an overflow pantry. I asked John and he didn't think that he'd done it; I know I didn't. At Christmastime, I had looked high and low for those things and couldn't find them. Now I'm thinking that my mother must've tucked them there. That's so I'd have the ingredients to bake your cookies today. Another God wink!

Just back to snag the Cowboy Cookies recipe...looks like tomorrow will be the day. Looks as if I'll be dividing it in half...that's a lot of cookies!

Glad you are feeling so well. I am going to try those cookies except I am leaving the coconut out - I am 'allergic' hee hee. That is what my brother and I always say to my mom who loves coconut. I use coconut oil, and love coconut scented things but don't like the texture of shredded coconut!
