Miss Victoria's spring fever
I don't think my living room sheers are going to survive Victoria's spring hunting instincts. Not only have we had the return of various birds but at least one chipmunk has been seen on the deck.
Perhaps the funniest exchange between the feline and an outdoor creature was when a squirrel set on its' haunches and stared at her through the window of the deck doors... either a very brave squirrel or it had a knowledge that the whiskered one was hindered by glass.

I love hearing about Miss Victoria. We haven't had a cat for a few years, my girls would love having one again...maybe soon.
Our bird feeder is hanging from the soffet just outside our kitchen window. Our cats do lots of stalking just below the window sill because squirrels often sit on the outside sill trying to figure out how to access the sunflower seeds. Our cat Adelaide also greatly dislikes the doves who land on the deck under the bird feeder looking for spilled seed. It keeps the cats (and us!) greatly entertained.
I have had to pick up turned over plants several times over the past couple of days thanks to my dog, Bandit's, excitement over something she saw outside. I finally moved the plants. Easier than keeping her calm. So many squirrels and more people out walking.
I like it when you write about your cat. She looks a lot like our Shadow.
