We're in the mid-storm lull right now with the worst of the weather knocking at the door of our county. I knew it had to be bad when all the colleges and Universities were closed already. The TV news anchors are saying people should charge their cell phones now in case power is lost later, I never thought of that! Phone charging...
Should we not lose power, I'll be putting together my Books Read in January post later today or tomorrow. I've been under the weather (literally) now for about a week-and-a-half so e-mails are far behind... just be patient and you'll hear from me soon.
It was this time last year that I ended up in the ER for awhile so you can imagine I'm being very careful not to push a weak immune system. I keep telling my Southern friends I'm going to show up on their door soon but even they have had cooler weather.
I am SO glad since everything in the house is organized, my housework is only maintenance. I'm closing the door to Christopher's room... and the garage. ;)
Be back later... God willing and the creek don't freeze... and the power stays on.

Do be careful and stay as warm as possible!!! We've made a list of comfort food to eat during the storm :) and I'm contemplating a more relaxed school day...cinnamon rolls are in the oven!
Thanks for the reminder...excuse me while I go charge my phone...
We are preparing here in PA as we are in the path of the storm and they expect us to get a lot of ice.
I am thankful for a stocked pantry, a wood stove and lots of good reading material. We also may fill our huge garden tub in the master bath in case we lose power.
Stay warm!

Stay safe and warm . . . a good time for cofee, tea and books, eh?
Fondly,
Glenda
Everybody here is gearing up for a blizzard that's supposed to come through later today. We'll see if it actually shows up. I'm making soup in honor of the cold!
Brenda,
I wish you could come to Florida! It is warm here today - around 70 - and a little cloudy. Yesterday was sunny and beautiful. I, too, am still under the weather and realize that I must just rest. I pray that you do not lose power and that you have plenty of good books to pass the time and a cuddly kitty! Bonnie
Stay in, stay warm, stay cuddled with a sweet Victoria!
Please DON'T repeat last year's calamitous illness. Rest, look out the window at the beauty, and read. Oh, sipping tea is good too.
Sending love across the miles,

Yes, thanks for the reminder to charge the phone, though I do not expect to be without power even if it is already snowing when it wasn't supposed to start until this evening. Stay cozy. Oh, are you able to take echinacea? I have been taking it and so far have missed all the nasty stuff that others have had in the family. I'm attributing it to the stuff since I'm not doing anything else differently. Oh I have so much to do...so much organizing. I envy you your organized home.
Maybe if the snow gets deep enough we won't be able to get to work. Too bad :)
Awww this sounds funny to me, we are over here in Australia sweating like nobody's business, haha and you are over there in inches of snow freezing yourselves! :) Uncanny isnt it? Haha :) Stay warm and safe! Read lots of books, and drink coffee. Sounds good to me!!! :)
Hugs,
Melissa
