My ponder is frozen...

Waiting for... this!
I have many subjects of which I'd like to chat... homeschooling posts have been promised, more pantry posts, waxing poetic about good coffee and tea, not to mention books.

However, my brain is frozen.  It is unbelievably cold here.  I can't really complain as it is nothing abnormal for a Midwestern January day but that does not make me any warmer.  My ponder is frozen.

I'm in serious need of Starbucks but I will settle for brewing a cup of hot tea...

I'd love to invite you over for a hot cup of tea. We'd sit in front of our wood burning stove and chat about our kids, our husbands, our grandchildren. We'd discuss books we love to read...recipes...china...

That's cute, Brenda! My ponder often freezes over too this time of year. I'm so longing for Springtime. I love your blog and I have signed up to be your newest follower. Thanks for your visit and I wish you a lovely weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

I have those days, too. I think sometimes our brains and body just need to sit, relax, and breath.
Hope you're staying warm! Looking forward to your posts.

God bless you - Julie

It is going down to 0 tonight, 3 tomorrow night and 0 for Sunday night. I am conserving all energy just to keep warm, too.

I am sitting here bathed in the warm glow of my monitor with a cup of green tea, reading your post...

We can dream of warmer weather together!

Oooh, it is cold here too! Maybe a nice hot bath with a good book will thaw your ponder out! :)

This, for me, is the time for tea with lemon juice and splenda. It helps wake me up! Pretty cold here in northeast Ohio, too! Just rest, enjoy looking out the window at the winter wonderland. Curl up with good music and good books. Dream a little about the garden to come this spring and summer! Winter is meant for a reason, I think, especially as we get a little older!

I know the feeling well! We, too, are surrounded in snow. My senior mom and I are about to embark on a walk around the block, but to do so means 10 minutes of adding long johns, extra coats and gloves, - then another 5 minutes at the end, taking them all off again. :) But she loves to get outside and the fresh air does seem to generate more writing ideas, so off we shall go. But OH, I'm SO looking forward to spring! :)

Have a blessed week.

My ponder is frazzled into non-existence -- I'm in the midst of packing to move -- and next Saturday is "D-Day". I notice I can't remember where I've put anything ... do hope this passes when the move is over.

It's pretty chilly in the UK too! It definitely affects energy levels, as you seem to need so much energy just to stay warm, let alone actually do anything!

I am sending warm thoughts your way Brenda, hope that helps!

When it's that cold, it's time to hibernate :) Take a good book or a couple of magazines with you into your warm "cave" and enjoy this quiet time of the year.
