Four days of giving thanks - Monday

I love Thanksgiving so much, I want to celebrate it all week.

How good it is to put that which does not edify behind me so I can concentrate on that which He has provided... especially those I may overlook in their everyday-ness.

So, I'm thinking of things for which I am thankful.

Day One...

Flowers fresh from the nursery

Wild flowers picked while walking a country path

Flowers and flags

Finding good mail in the mailbox

Old Books

Thrifted silver and crystal

More tomorrow... :)

*All pictures can be enlarged by clicking on them. The silver is especially lovely upclose and personal and the book titles are much easier to peruse (mostly my slim Elizabeth Goudge collection).

Beautiful pictures! You celebrated your son's 20th yesterday. Today our son turns 20. We are grateful for the time that we are given. Time surely flies right by.

Beautiful pictures! The tea table shown yesterday is simply lovely!

Have a grateful day!!

I have to comment upon your bookshelf, esp. the Elizabeth Goudge books. No one seems to know this author these days but her books are absolutely wonderful! My favorite and I hope you enjoy her as well.

I love it when my family gathers 'round the long farm table, holds hands, and talks about being grateful. The simplest (and most important) ties are always the things they mention.

I see you too love Elizabeth Goudge's books. I have them (all inherited from my auntie). Pilgrim's Inn is so wonderful.

Sending you Thanksgiving blessings,
Sharon Lovejoy
