Charlotte Mason, pumpkin spice lattes, and Puddleglum

I'm exhausted from running errands. Except for a couple hours at home this afternoon, I was gone all day. Then I arrived to pick hubby up from work and the bookstore was packed with people. Obviously they weren't going to be able to close at the time planned.

So... we agreed he'd meet me at my favorite coffeehouse where the staff was very nice and brewed decaf coffee for me. I told them I realized no one else on campus probably wanted decaf on a Friday night. :)

I only purchased a cup of coffee and not a latte with heart shaped froth because... I treated myself to "it" today. Yes, my first cup of pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks. Can we give a hallelujah!

I had saved over $12.00 with coupons at Target today so I figured I could use some of my savings for a treat. Oh, yes... yummm. I also bought a bag of the Target brand of pumpkin spice coffee (even though they had ground instead of beans) as Starbucks is not in my budget very often. :)

Anyhoo... I have homemade chicken noodle soup reheating on the stove and I will join Sasha on the living room sofa soon after finishing a bowl of soup. I am so tired I ache... but no more flu symptoms!

I once again send you to the continuing saga of the Charlotte Mason papers for those who are interested (and I know many of you have said you are)... here. Hmmm... is that good grammar. I don't care. I need rest. Soon. I can tell I'm becoming a Puddleglum.

Ooo! I'm not sure I wanted to know the Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back. Might just need to leave the house this weekend...

I hope you get to have some much needed rest. One of my closest friends is a Starbuck kinda gal. I don't drink coffee at all.

Starbusks is not in the budget but knowing it is time for it is like a signal that my beloved Fall is on the way!! Who whoooo!! Lately there have been days we are on the go all day too! Those days I find myself humming John Denver....gee its good to be back home again...... Yes Dorothy is sooo right there is no place like home...I love your comments about your kitty. I miss my pets so much. They have all gone to their reward after many years of giving their sweet love. So glad the flu aches have left you alone finally. Jody

I have pumpkin spice, it is not common in Australia, I got it from an American importing shop. Sounds lovely.

Fall always seem to be "officially" here when Starbucks puts Pumpkin Spice Lattes on the menu! Glad you were able to enjoy some. Last year I googled how to make it at home and there are a few copycat recipes out there that you may want to look into so you can make it at home.
