To many options, too little time

I only have time for the quickest of hellos today. There are more things to do than there is time to do them.. I absolutely must:

Wash dishes
Put away dishes in the drainer
Water the garden
Water the flowers on the deck
Do two loads of laundry
Wash and prep veggies for dinner
Start the Holiday Spaghetti casserole for dinner
Look again for Matthew's beloved Doggie
Continue writing the next pantry post

Given that list, there are also a lot of things I want to do:

Finish the book I must review
Start The Ragamuffin Gospel
Read another chapter in Keep a Quiet Heart
Respond to a few e-mails
Take the pictures for the next pantry post
Bake blueberry muffins
Make a basil puree for a recipe
Peruse a couple favorite cookbooks for recipes
Read through the latest Victoria magazine
and...
Just sit and think

Some days I have too many options. :)

I can totally understand Brenda. My week has been like that..it's been crazy.

I love Brennan Manning. have you read his book Abba's Child. It's such a good book.

Don't forget to take a few minutes in your day to relax too. Hugs

Sometimes we can have all our ducks in a row and then something un-forseen comes along and there goes the ducks! Hope you can accomplish all you have planned for today. If not, there is tomorrow. If tomorrow never comes, it won't make any difference. (That is how I can through my busy days.) Take care.

Why is that we can find more to do in a day than we actually have time to accomplish?? My Grandmother used to praise God that she could still work. When I was in my teens, I thought this was the MOST ABSURD thing ANYONE could say. Now that I am 50-plus, yeppers, I sooo understand and bless her for that statement. Every day I am grateful that I have work to do, family to love, goals to reach, and the ability to do it!

Have a glorious day, My Honey Lovin' Friend!

I remember back a long time ago that I just couldn't understand how someone couldn't get something done IF they really WANTED to! Now, five of my own kids, three step kids and 2 precious grandkids (with one on the way, PTL!) later, I find it wonderful to find time to fix my hair CORRECTLY during the day. I have the two latest issues of Country Living Magazine that I still haven't been able to read yet. I used to make sure those things were done but now I make it a "rule" for myself that I can't sit down with a cup of tea and my new magazine unless my work is DONE! Hmmm...maybe I should just cancel my subscription???? It doesn't look good right now....

Still makes me wonder how some women have the same 24 hours in their day I do and do twice as much as I can do. I work all day and wonder where the time went! :) We are not to compare ourselfs to others but Really!...what is their secret? They must work smarter not just harder or something. Isen't life silly at times? I can honestly say I haden't sat down any time cept to look at the mail all day. Then much later I sit down and that very instant my husband walks in the door for the first time that day!! Now when I mention what a busy day I have had and I just sat down he says sure you did...wink! :) Silly I tell you life is silly at times! :) Jody
