A brief visit to busy

I had to run some errands today since next week I'll join those who leave home in the morning and arrive back after dark. Only for one week but it is a busy week. I normally drop on the sofa as soon as I arrive home each evening and if anyone says anything at all about food... well, let's just say that takes the merry out of Merry Christmas. :)

I was hoping to use my paycheck to stock the pantry a bit but I ended up having to have lab tests run at the doctor's office on Thursday. The good news was... my insulin seems to be fine for now so I only have to see the nurse once a month and the doctor every three months. It appears to be finally stabilized with shots before each meal and that new long term insulin morning and night.

The bad news... they had to have a variety of lab tests this time. I can't say anything since my doctor has allowed me to not take the A1C test for over a year now. However, he said we had to have the A1C and there are a few others that are needed to monitor side affects of other medications.

Sigh, while they charge on a sliding scale it is still a lot of money for me to spend on the doctor's visit this time and the tests. So, I'll have to look at it this way, I'm working next week to pay off medical bills but I'm so thankful to the wonderful work those medical people have accomplished. I couldn't work if it weren't for their diligence.

On the way home from purchasing salt for our water softener this morning, I stopped by the mission thrift store with three dollars in my coat pocket. Do I use it to have coffee at my work breaks next week or do I go by the thrift store. Hmmm... obviously the thrift store won out. I found three treasures for a total of $1.60. :)

My apologies go out to anyone who has written and not had a response. I recently found more e-mails hidden amongst tons of comments in my Coffee Tea Books and Me Hotmail account. I'm hoping in the new year to make a new account for comments received so this doesn't happen. I love having the comments sent to me, though, since I can tell when someone has commented on a post from, say... two years ago.

I'll be posting a Sunday Afternoon Tea post tomorrow and as for the weekdays next week... we'll see if my brain is still working each evening. Do pray that I make it through just fine and for good weather as I'll be driving and I do not like driving on snow and ice... at all... not at all. I love to look at it later, though... looking out the frosted glass of my window where I am warm and cozy at home.

Dear Brenda, Good news that your diabetes is being controlled better now.....I think you should not try to post something so much next week. Rest in your time off! I'll keep you in my prayers......

You can count on my prayers too. I have been praying for your health for some time now ... and for your finances. May the Lord continue to be your strong provider as you work next week. May He keep you safe as you travel the roads, give you strength to handle the work load, give you sweet rest each night, and make your earnings go further than you ever thought they would. God bless you, my friend ... and may His name be honored through you and your influence as work next week.

Hello Brenda, I'll be thinking and praying for you also next week. Thankyou for the privilege of being able to do this for you. Glad to hear your diabetes is stabilizing; that in itself will pep you up.
Just concentrate, drive slowly as you travel to your appointments and leave the rest to Him. He is with you always.

Blessings Gail
