I'm sharing it with you now that cranberries are available in the United States for the next couple of months. It will be parked permanently on my recipe site as soon as I have time to get it posted.
Ingredients:
- 2 packages (20 ounces each) frozen whole strawberries or 2-1/2 quarts fresh strawberries
- 1 pound fresh or frozen cranberries
- 5 pounds sugar
- 2 pouches (3 ounces each) liquid fruit pectin
Directions:
Grind strawberries and cranberries in a food processor or grinder; place in a large kettle. Add sugar. Bring to a full rolling boil; boil for 1 minute. Remove from the heat; stir in pectin and return to a full rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat.Cool for 5 minutes; skim off foam. Pour hot into hot jars, leaving 1/4-in. headspace. Adjust caps. Process for 15 minutes in a boiling-water bath.
Yield: about 14 half-pints.
I did a Google search and found the original recipe on the Country Woman site, where I "borrowed" their original picture, too.

This looks easy and yummy. Both things that I need. Thanks for sharing and so colorful!
Brenda,
It looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
Love, Heather
It does look wonderful, but I am wondering about the cost of the ingredients. Wouldn't this be pretty expensive to make? Could you give us a cost breakdown on the ingredients if I were to go out and buy what I needed? Thanks!
Thank you for this easy little recipe! :o)
You are giving me ideas. I remember one year when we had absolutely no extra money. I made all of my Christmas gifts that year and made a lot of jam to give away. Everyone loved it! This year with the yen/dollar exchange things are really tight. I'm thinking about gifts that can be made again. Thanks for the inspiration!
This recipe is beautiful! Tasty! And perfect for gifts.
Brenda, I am so sad about the trolls who left such hateful messages on your blog. They really haven't been following your lovely blog for long and they do not know you. Please do not be disheartened. I hope you can put them behind you and continue on. I know that things like this can take the pleasure out of blogging --- I hope you can find the joy in sharing again without worrying. Your response was good -- God be with you.
