I really was going to prepare another pantry post today (aka: Recession Proofing) but the house and my soul each need attention. I will prepare a Sunday Afternoon Tea post for tomorrow. I have an idea swimming around in the air... if I can just reach out and grab it I think it will make good pondering material. The pantry posts will return on Monday, hopefully.
This is such a favorite picture. I have it in my bedroom, over my dresser. My mother had a print in her living room for many years, before she went into a nursing home (she had to have full time medical attention her last couple of years of life). While I wouldn't have a poached egg on my bed, I have been known to have tea and toast.
That is actually where I am heading after I brew some tea. The laundry is caught up, the dishes are done, dinner is not expected for a couple of hours. I am plumping up the pillows on my bed, taking my Bible and a couple of magazines, along with tea and toast... and feeding my soul. After this week, it needs it. :)

As much as I was looking forward to your recession proofing post(I appreciate the way you affirm what I believe-however I don't have your ability to convey it), I heartily approve of your taking the day off.

Brenda, I hope you are in your bed with your tea and magazines. I think I will go there early tonight too. I try not to think of the recession that probably should start with a "D' too much. It is just too depressing. I don't know anyone who hasn't been affected. It hasn't affected my family much but everyone we know is having troubles. I just keep counting my blessings. That same picture is on the wall to my right, here in my cozy room. I love it, too. I notice her toast is cut into soldiers, as in "boiled egg and soldiers". I hope you will feel refreshed from your short retreat, dear Brenda.

The picture is one of my favorites although I do not own it. And it isn't far from the truth with all our pets around us as soon as food is out! I'll look forward to your tea this afternoon after church. I hope you had a restful Saturday.

We had that same picture on the wall of my mother's room in her nursing home. I believe it's hanging in our cabin now. Although the whole picture is very nice, we especially like that the dog is a Jack Russell.
