Peeking my head out the window for fresh air

I feel as if I've been in a tunnel these past couple of weeks. There is still some pain and nausea but I can walk around and even take a trip into town without having to immediately crawl back to my pillow. I also had my first solid food in awhile last night. I've been existing on white flour crackers, french bread, and occasionally slices of Colby cheese.

Most of today will be spent on the sofa but I can accompany my husband to a doctor's visit at the VA later this morning.

There is even hope of some creative projects, books to read, and recipes to try in the near future.

Thank you again for your comments, e-mails, and prayers. They have been greatly appreciated.

Picture: Taken in early spring... Sasha's curiosity almost got the best of her. The feet in the reflection are mine.

Thankful for the good report. Just think where you were a week ago and how much better you will be in another week!

I am so glad you are on the mend,Brenda...I would guess that tooth infection was in more than just your mouth...your body is healing...pace yourself, EVEN when you do feel good...get some sun ....need that Vitamin D....
Will continue to pray..

It took me awhile to realize exactly what was going on in the picture. I think I need more coffee.

I'm so thankful that you're slowly returning to your former pre-excruciating-impacted-tooth self.

I hope by now you're feeling much better after your terrible tooth ordeal. Sorry it included your birthday.
