Tying up some ends

I've added Who Am I to the play list. It just touches me so much. I'm keeping Chris Tomlin's Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Broken) first 'cause it is one most people find easy to listen to... :) Always remember, you can click on any song and bring it up to listen to it immediately or click on the two vertical lines to turn off the music.

Someone had asked me how to get more people to view their profile. It has been awhile and my brain is rather foggy as to who it was... anyhoo, the best way is place comments on other people's blogs (a catchy blog title doesn't hurt). I've read all kinds of ways to make your blog have more traffic and frankly, I don't want to work that hard. I just figure if people want to read what I write, they will come back... otherwise they won't. I'd much rather have someone think something terrible like "who would read that blog" and never come back as opposed to reading on a regular basis and leaving snarky comments. :)

Perhaps it is very Calvinist of me but I figure, "If you build it... "they" will come". Okay, so that's talking about baseball and ghosts and all but really, if you read blogs you enjoy and leave a comment, that is a good thing. It lets people know you appreciate them and other readers will be able to click on your blog title and (hopefully) find a like minded person. It is true if you have a new blog, finding blogs that you enjoy and leaving comments is the way to draw people to your blog but I'm hoping you are leaving comments because you enjoy a blog, too.

I go through weeks where I don't have time to leave a comment but when I'm less busy, I do like to let people know I'm reading. Of course, if the blog is something like Confessions of a Pioneer Woman (in my side bar links) where you have thousands commenting, your little "hello" will get lost in the crowd. (Is that the most amazing woman... and life?)

Be yourself... you can read blog "mentors" and get good ideas but if you don't write from the heart, people will eventually stop reading. There are millions of blogs out there and fortunately, there are people who read this blog title who click on over and find someone who enjoys the same things they do, and you truly get to know people through their blog, don't you?

I've often said the best thing about blogs (for me) is knowing there are so many like minded people in the world. For better or for worse... :)

I love "Who Am I"! Thanks for adding it to the play list. It speaks to my heart as well. Loved the testimony from your friend, that he was able to hear, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!" What joy he is experiencing now! Praying for his family.

I really enjoy reading your blogs and that's why I comment. I feel like we're carrying on a conversation. I have a counter now on my blog so I discovered that I have a lot more readers than I knew, they just don't bother to comment. I love it when folks do comment. It shows me they care.

Brenda, your blog was the first I ever read and I was hooked at day one. You are sincere and tender and that means a lot to me. You bless me with your helpful hints and I always enjoy reading what you are up to. Yes, I love the music too. When someone wrote something that hurt you, it hurt me. You have a ministry with this blog and I want you to know it touches me in a very rich way.

Unfortunately, being a good blogger takes a lot of time. I don't know how some of the people do it, especially the ones who answer every comment and post almost every day.

It seems that the "like-minded" find one another in the end. I love blogs...just love the creativity of women (a few men, too) and it thrills me to no end to know what God has placed in the human heart. I don't get bent out of shape if someone doesn't comment, but I enjoy communicating, which is a nice way of saying that I am a chatterbox.

Have a wonderful day, Brenda!

Just wanted to say Hi. I stop in to read and enjoy all your posts. I just don't comment very often.

Isn't that what we love about *blogging* !!!I think this is a good post. I love to comment, but don't always have the time, energy or words....I have know bloggers who don't allow comments and just blog for the JOY of it.
