Always ready for tea

This is where I keep the tea cups I offer others to use when they come over "for tea" (especially little granddaughters). They were so cute when they were here just after Christmas. I wish we had thought to take a picture!

Yes... that is my wedding photo front and center. My parent's wedding photo is on the left (they married when mom was around age 40 and dad four years older). My in-laws WWII wedding photo is on the right (but hard to see from this angle).

I think if you click on it, you can see the tea cups even better.

I am looking for a place and a good way to store my cups and saucers. This is a great idea. Now if I only had space in my dining room for a buffet or a small dresser! Oh well, there must be space somewhere! When I find it I'll be sure to share it.

That is a sweet picture of your wedding. What kind of china are the cups with roses on them? so pretty! I'm having a little tea and book giveaway if you'd like to come by.

Boy that is a handy place to put tea cups---I have them on shelfs and crammed in cupboards and hutch!!

I gasped when I saw your drawer. My mom has the set of tea cups that has the rose on the inside. I have always loved them!

Brenda = Wow! Tea cups in a drawer. What a brilliant idea!!! Mine are on the bottom of an open tea cart, so they always have to be washed to be used. I LOVE the drawer idea! Thanks for sharing that.

How sweet for your granddaughters to have tea at grandma's but even more to know what is in the drawers of her furniture (getting into drawers was not acceptable in my experience).

My 6 granddaughters are all coming in June. I'm planning a tea party for them. We'll use my Bone China cups and saucers. Maddie is only 1 1/2 so I think we'll schedule it for while she's napping!

I was recently dusting up some of my 'on display' cups and saucers and thought of your lovely collection! I wish my little bot was just a bit less impulsive so that I could really have my pretties 'out' to enjoy, but that day will come, and for now they are much safer behind glass! Have you tried the salt solution for removing tea stains? I just read about it today - we have always used baking soda, but apparently for those really stubborn stains, salt is the answer (and a really hot wet cloth). It's always a good day to learn something new.
