Obsolete homemakers?

I loved this post over at Copperswife this morning. I have felt this way when talking to people about the things I enjoy doing (baking, taking care of my family, etc.).

The fact so few women even have homemaking skills these days is why the grocery store can charge so much for premade and baked items.

I'm a full-time homemaker and I love it...have worked some jobs as needed to assist our finanaces, but in my 40 years of marriage (to the same man none the less! hahaha) I enjoy nothing more than caring for my home. On my blog, I use the name Dinah Soar...which sounds like dinosaur, because I often feel like I am in an almost defunct extinct group.

I look forward to reading your blog daily...thanks so much for keeping it and sharing...

So true! Sometimes I'm surprised by the premade things grocery stores offer - like hardboiled eggs in plastic containers. I love caring for my home and family and some people just don't get it. I'll have to go take a look at her post.

Sometimes I too feel like a dinosaur too. Sad isn't it??
