Grateful for an award

I want to thank TeaLady Tammy for a new award that I truly love. It is called the Mathetes Award for a blog that displays "Excellence in Discipleship". The award originated with the Management by God blog. Of course, you know a blog with TeaLady in the title would be one I enjoy reading. :)

I truly appreciate this award because it reaches to the heart of what I wanted to accomplish from the first day I typed out those first few paragraphs and wondered if anyone would read what I have to say. I have been moved to tears at times when I read your comments and e-mails. You have blessed me far more than I could ever attempt to pay back. Thank you.

I know I'm suppose to pick five blogs to receive the same award but I don't know how to pick JUST FIVE from all of you wonderful blog friends. I may do some more pondering on this...

Yes, I am feeling better. I feel a little less overwhelmed with l.i.f.e. this evening. Of course, I just enjoyed a Grande Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino (decaf, believe me I mentioned decaf TWICE) while sitting in the church parking lot... in the dark... watching the raccoon once again trying to get in the church trash containers... waiting on Christopher's "Monday Night Guy's Bible Study" to finish. That always makes me feel better.

I mean no disrespect to the Perfection of Eternity and all but as I was sitting in the dark, the radio playing great music, slurping the Frappuccino (what can I say, I was alone so I could slurp), I was wondering how the Marriage Supper of the Lamb could taste any better than this. Yum...

My day began as I was dropped off at Panera a little after 7:00 this morning and ended when I finally arrived home for good at 9:00 tonight... a long day by anyone's standards. I was going to write a book review today but it will have to wait. I was going to lament over another 90+ degree record breaking heat but there is no time (aren't you happy about that?). I am soon going to meet again with my soft mattress and pillow that I so hated to part with this morning. That is a very good thing.

Brenda, I was way behind in visiting your blog. I opened it over my coffee this morning and just kept reading. It was like my hand was in the potato chip bag. Each post I went to had something in it I needed to hear. I left ready to start the day. Thanks my friend!
