A very quick hello

Thank you for all the comments about the one year anniversary of Coffee Tea Books & Me (and the anniversary of my wedding, I was but a child when I married, hehehe). Well, not far from it.

I'm in the midst of an extremely busy two weeks as I'm helping out at the bookstore near campus (the same one where my son works part-time). I am certain you will enjoy the irony of the situation. I'm working as a cashier, checking out textbooks to help pay for... textbooks. :)

I get very tired but anything is do-able for a couple of weeks. It is good to be busy as I am still missing "my girl" very much. I especially notice her absence at night when I (finally) get a chance to relax and read. However, her sister is getting lots of love. I know she misses her sister but at the same time, she is now the "top cat" and appears to enjoy the attention.

I have lost more people who used to subscribe to Coffee Tea Books & Me. Perhaps it is because I haven't chatted a lot about books lately. More about... my life? Oh, well.

I am behind in my reading. Hopefully, after the temporary job is finished, things will be much calmer around here. Lord willing and the creek don't rise... and all that.

I wouldn't worry about losing subscribers. We never really know why people decide not to read anymore. It takes all the fun out of blogging if we try to figure it out. I'm really enjoying your blog; I'm looking forward to having time to read the favorites you've been posting. Beginning a new school year has me a little frazzled as of late. I pop over to your blog when I want a bit of peace.

I just enjoy visiting here with you no matter what your post may be about, wheither it is about books, you or any other topic! Take care of yourself the next few weeks...our college age kids go back to school very soon too!
Blessings,
Mindy

I'm sure the unsubscribing has nothing to do with you or your content. I think there's many of us that have been convicted that we spend too much time at the computer. As we face a new school year we've decided to pray, then streamline. Personally, I'll continue to be a faithful reader.

Enjoy the hustle and bustle of the bookstore. You're making memories with your son that will warm you in the quiet cold of February.

I agree with the other ladies Brenda. Subscribers come and go. I myself did some "blog cleaning" last night and deleted several-I had way too many. Try not to take it personally.
Like Mindy said-you have faithful readers (friends, really!) who will come by here no matter what you write about.
So you just continue to be yourself-okay?
(((hugs)))

Thank you!

It is a good thing you want me to be myself 'cause that is all I CAN be. :)

Hi Brenda,
I stoppped worrying about who is reading my blog. It doesn't matter. I feel God will send those that need to read what i have to say. Numbers are just that numbers.
Glad you enjoyed your latte.
Hugs,
Elizabeth

I too agree with those who say... don't concern yourself with readers coming or going.

Btw, I don't understand how you can know that people do or don't 'subscribe' to your blog feed, but that's just 'cause I'm not techy. -grin- But I don't think I'd want to know, actually. I too would wonder why! I would! See how easy it is for me to tell you to not do so, when I know I'd wonder too. -sigh- What's that ~~ Do as I say, not as I do?

Anyway, back to my *Wisdom 101* -giggles-. All of us have to change our blogging, from time to time. Wow, do I know that, with my ding-dang-back-problem. Bahh humbug, but I have had to change.

Many have to change, due to their own individual issues.

And that in itself, is a reason I never put blogs-I-read up in my SideBar. If I ever had to change my blogging habits, or ever even just wanted to do so, it might hurt feelings of some, to not see their blog links there, any more. Now whether that's wise or not ~ I don't know. But it's why I don't do it. :-)

Plus, I don't add Blog Awards to my Side bar. I just happen to like as little on my Sidebar as possible and so... Even though some people who give out Awards, may not understand, that's just my choice. And I really, really want to do my blogging, according to my choice. It's an ongoing battle to achieve this, but... I keep battling with myself. :-)

Please don't over do, with the working weeks. And please don't fret about how/what you blog. Our blogs are ours! :-) Too bad I can't needlepoint, or I could make a nice pillow for my back, with that on it. -giggles-

Hugs, Mari-Nanci

The comments already here express my feelings too. "To thine own self be true." Your blog is lovely.

Brenda, I'm sure that people unsubscribing has nothing to do with your content. I've noticed a drop off on my blog as well, but then I also have been trying to limit my time on the computer. I just realized that I was spending way too much time on the computer and not enough time living and doing! So maybe it's a movement!

I think it sounds kinda fun to have a 2 week job (on purpose).

See you when you get back.

Hi Brenda...since you like books, have you read Patricia Hickman's "Fallen Angels"??? I can't wait to read her next one in the series!
Warmly,

do you think there's a more beautiful book than the one where you life is written? I wish people could only read those ones - their own life-telling-books and love them!...
