Blogger Reflection Award

Deb was so nice, she gave me a Blogger Reflection Award over a week ago and I'm just now able to post about it (and to properly thank her).

The award originated from this lovely site, Lothlorien, Realm of the Lady of Light...gorgeous! This was the description of who should be recipients:

As for my award, it is called The Blogger Reflection Award. Why? The reason for the title is because this award should make you reflect on five bloggers who have been an encouragement, a source of love, impacted you in some way, and have been a Godly example to you. Five Bloggers who when you reflect on them you get a sense of pride and joy... of knowing them and being blessed by them.

It is very difficult for me to come up with just five as I love so many of your blogs. I'm thinking of five "off the top of my head" but there are about fifty or so immediate runner-ups! I also decided I wouldn't nominate anyone I'd already given a Thinking Blogger's Award (just to get more good blogs out there).

The first would be one of my newest blog finds (and friends). I've already sent many of you over to Jewels' blog. Visiting her blog is truly a vacation from the strains and stresses of the world. She's a Christian version of Tasha Tudor, living a lovely life in the midst of a crazy world. I am so grateful she decided to let the rest of us take a peek into her world and perhaps...we can come away with ideas to help each of us reflect a simple but lovely way of living.

I nominate Elizabeth and Miss Candi because they were one of the first blogs I ever read. I've enjoyed what Elizabeth teaches about homemaking and her great recipes. Of course, the real reason I read it is to see what Miss Candi is up to these days!

I adore Holy Experience (laundry...listening...liturgy). Ann writes beautifully and I find so often she is expressing my own thoughts and prayers. Reading her blog (journal) is like reading poetry and it leads me closer to the One who created words...and poets.

La Tea Dah and her beautiful blog Gracious Hospitality has been in my Bloglines...well, nearly from the beginning. I love her pictures and her prose...a true kindred spirit. Visiting her is a vacation through the my computer screen.

I have been staring at my Bloglines now for about thirty minutes, trying to decide which of many blogs would be number five (for there are so many that are truly wonderful). I decided on Kimberly's Cup because she represents a young wife and mom who is truly a kindred spirit. She also loves books and "having tea". I get wonderful ideas from her (as sometimes it is the young who can teach the older among us).

Those receiving the award may choose five of your own, if you choose. If you link to the originator of the award (given above), you will receive full instructions.

I hope at least one of these will be a new friend to visit, each offers a unique destination in Blogland. :)

Thank you SO much for your nomination. I appreciate it very much. I am humbled and honored.

Presently I'm having ISP problems and am unable to post pictures, but hope to be back online soon. I suppose this will give me time to think about my nominations --- a tough feat!

I hope you are enjoying a great summer, are feeling well, and are enjoying time with your family.

God bless your day!

Hello!
Thanks for stopping by and saying such lovely things about my blog. *blush*

Anyway, the only reason I said to choose 5 bloggers is because I didn't want anyone to get overwhelmed by *having* to pick 10... but you may do as many as you like! ; )

Blessings!
Jocelyn

Wow! Thank you, Brenda, so much for thinking of me. I'm touched. I'm so glad you enjoy my blog. It's so sweet of you to think of me. I am stunned.
Now, to search out five I love that you didn't already also nominate...
Blessings to you!
