My vintage kitchen

A very long time ago, someone had asked for pictures of my kitchen. Well, there are a few under "Labels" and "My Home" in the sidebar. However, I took some closeups and just got the film back yesterday. Since I don't have a digital camera, at least I can take regular pics and ask for a digital CD with them! So...here's some further pictures of my kitchen:

This is the scene over my kitchen sink:

You can barely see my collection of vintage bottles on top of the "pantry" I inherited from my mother-in-law. Note the cuddling snowmen, it's one of my favorites of my snowmen collection because it was given to me by my daughter:

Here are three views of my kitchen, opposite the sink. We could get a very small table here instead but I needed the storage space!

This small area is between my refrigerator and kitchen cabinets. The tray on top of my small microwave holds the two teapots I use most often, a (hidden) container that holds regular sugar, the vintage reproduction tin that holds my granulated Splenda, and the old tea cup that holds my Splenda and other sugar packets.

I saw a magazine article where someone had done the same thing on top of their microwave and thought it was an excellent idea! The view of my refrigerator is the side that is only seen if standing where I was taking the picture, so it has more "stuff" on it than the front and the other side!

This is the area beside my stove, I put the vintage recipe box there for a closer look (it actually sits off to the side). This recipe box holds my recipes I use all the time. I have two other boxes, one for recipe cards that I don't use often and another just for Taste of Home type cut out "cards".

I had the recipe box and the vintage reproduction "tins" before moving in here. It's amazing how they match the "fruit" border, which was here when we moved in.

Brenda, I enjoyed the kitchen tour! I liked the yellow cart. Now I can picture you making your brownies in your kitchen! :)

The yellow cart was a Goodwill find. I bought it very cheap because it needed a few screws and bolts (of which my husband already had in his "collection"). I love the color!

I loved these-thank you so much for taking the time to post them.
I just went through your other house pictures and I had a thought-I wonder if you could paint your stove? Wasn't it Mrs. Wilt who recently painted the front of her washer and dryer? I bet you could paint it-and the top too, if it comes off.
Just a thought!
Joanna :)

Am I seeing things or does one of the wooden spoons in the container have a smiley face? Too cute.

Actually it is a yellow, plastic spoon that came with my big bag of Splenda at one time.

It makes me smile when I see it.
