Honeysuckle afternoon

I had a very nice lunch with my two friends yesterday. We drove to a small town near us that has a well known bakery/deli type restaurant. It was the warmest day we've had in a long time so the scenery looked more like early spring rather than late Winter (with the possible exception of unmelted snow drifts here and there).

I have always loved this stretch of road, when we would reach it after driving many miles from neighboring states, we knew we were close to my hometown. :)

About an hour after I arrived home, the UPS man delivered my Spring Cleaning Kit. I found their prices to be very reasonable for "natural" products (although shipping has become so high, hasn't it?). My decision to order the actual cleaning kit came about because of the fragrance...honeysuckle. Well, the products worked great and the aroma made cleaning the bathroom almost enjoyable! I found myself cleaning (and cleaning) just for the aroma. The products will be perfect for everyday as well as heavy duty spring cleaning.

After reading this post by Copperswife, I was inspired to do the same with my individually wrapped teabags. It turned out perfectly, with all the wrapped teabags now in a flat container which I can pull out and take what I want without boxes falling down on each other. My Celestial Seasoning teas are all on the top shelf (as they must stay in their pretty boxes since they are not individually wrapped). My Harney & Son HT tins and Republic of Tea tins are still displayed on open shelves in the kitchen. It all looks so nice now.

I have pizza dough preparing in my bread machine, using my daughter's recipe. I promised my son homemade pizza for dinner this evening. Sounds good to me, too! I'll put the dough in the refrigerator when it has finished, as I don't know what time exactly he will be arriving home.

I am only about three chapters into The Thirteenth Tale, partly because I've been busy and also due to rereading (and re-rereading) paragraphs and pages over again. The language is exquisite. I can't wait to get back to it later this evening. In the meantime, I must return to the gotta do's of the day.
