I agree we must be selective about where we get our information. I only read positive things because I think there is a deliberate effort being made to eliminate all that makes the country great.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32960314.post-28327948623313180082021-10-20T11:46:27.531-04:002021-10-20T11:46:27.531-04:00Thanks for your inspiring post. I need to create time for things that bring me peace and determine to avoid those things that shatter my peace. Like you said, a lot of that peace-shattering happens on social media and when I say social media, I don't usually mean blogs. It's all the other places, including YouTube, that can create that vortex of negativity that just suck you down. Time to start deleting some channels!Carissa (Regency Woman)https://www.blogger.com/profile/16052175780167961631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32960314.post-71335998195798423922021-10-19T23:14:24.865-04:002021-10-19T23:14:24.865-04:00Thanks Brenda, I keep learning from you (and seein...Thanks Brenda, I keep learning from you (and seeing similarities) Just learnt from you that I can listen to peaceful music in the background while reading favourite posts. xAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32960314.post-70104456736596857562021-10-18T22:03:45.183-04:002021-10-18T22:03:45.183-04:00Thank you for this post; it is just what I needed....Thank you for this post; it is just what I needed. I started to watch old comedy shows, like The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Who's the Boss, and anything with Bob Newhart. I've learned that the days we're living in today are very negative and I try to combat the negativity with love, kindness and smiles. Satan is alive and well and I think loves to live Social media and cable TV news. We can't give up the fight! MSM today is made to give a certain view point and if you watch it a lot it is depressing. They've driven so much misinformation.

I'm glad we still have other sources, and we must be discerning of these sources, too.

I have youtube channels I watch when I want a break from the negativity, and stress inducing information.
Deanna Rabehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07946588895797307347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32960314.post-69449885546244254542021-10-17T19:04:19.709-04:002021-10-17T19:04:19.709-04:00This was So good and So true! For me it’s usually a good book to read with a cup of tea, but lately I’ve been looking for some kind of handwork to work on, like embroidery or crochet for the winter months. Haven’t found anything just yet, however. I love to scrapbook, too, and can easily get lost in it, so I guess I should work on that more. I like to read blogs of others’ lives in other places, too. Much better than reading or watching, the news! Although I realize I need to keep up on what’s going on in the outside world, it helps to keep in mind, this world is not my home. Appreciate your book recommendations!
Peace and Blessings,
Laura C(WA)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32960314.post-49147998003309995292021-10-17T17:20:39.877-04:002021-10-17T17:20:39.877-04:00Oh yes, we thrive when we seek out things that bri...Oh yes, we thrive when we seek out things that bring us joy and peace. It is too easy to get sucked down the rabbit hole of crisis and outrage. I tell myself do not do that especially before bedtime. Read and watch upbeat things. For several years I am reading The Bible in a year, each night right before I fall asleep. That sets me up for peaceful slumbers. I like your ideas in this post.Terra https://www.blogger.com/profile/04396481049075747940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32960314.post-30410923535859596122021-10-17T16:52:40.502-04:002021-10-17T16:52:40.502-04:00This hit the spot.
