Under the Weather

Having an illness rarely causes a problem with writing a blog post but it is stopping me today.  On Friday, the right side of my face started swelling and became very painful.  I could still write (slowly) yesterday but today I can't concentrate and it hurts to look at a screen.

Infections are not good news for anyone with Juvenile Diabetes and this became extremely painful right away.  The pain killers are not working like they did yesterday.

I will be contacting my doctor in the morning.  In this day of COVID restrictions, it isn't the easiest to get a quick appointment but he does consider any kind of an infection an emergency.  If I can't see him, it would at least clear the way for me to get emergency care elsewhere under Medicare guidelines.

All prayers appreciated!

Prayers for a quick recovery. Could it be an allergy? Take care.

  6. Very scary... you might see your dentist. An abscess can cause your face to swell pretty bad.

Hope you get some relief soon.

I'm sorry to hear you're under the weather and suffering with an infection...praying you can see the doctor and feel better soon! I so enjoy your blog and look forward each week to your posts. Book Talk is always a favorite and I love going back to old book talk posts. Our taste in books is so similar.

    Be well soon!

You sure need to get yourself tended to, especially with your preexisting condition. Also, give yourself time to heal before getting back to your normal routines. Prayers sent on your behalf. Diane

Pls get help ASAP and don’t worry about “going through channels”....infection as you know is quick and serious. You are too important to your family and to your readers to wait any length of time.
