My world... the second day of October

Mailboxes

The side yard

Front porch

Over the sink

On the county road

My neighbor's barn... across the county road
(which just received a face lift this summer)

On the side of my driveway

And people wonder why why I have a Bigfoot phobia... :)

Your front porch is inviting! Lovely surroundings too...but yea, plenty of undergrowth. We live in more of a neighborhood...we are 2 houses from the edge of the woods. Close enough to snakes!! I love looking at such things, but NOT tromping about in heavily wooded areas. Not with so many snakes about. And actually, the last place we lived remotely on the opposite coast, hubby was pestered one night in our garage with a cougar just outside the door...and here we had gone walking and hiking about some...had always taken the dogs, but they were not big enough to defend us much. ARGH!!

Brenda, you need some vines or roses climbing up the posts of your front porch. :)

  17. Love the photos. Makes me wistful for the Sumas Prairie where we lived for awhile. The bigfoot story reminded me of when we went camping one year, and my husband warned my daughter if she didn't go to sleep soon, the bigfoot (or Nantakwa as he called it would come get her. It had the opposite effect, and she became attached to the story of Nantakwa. Everywhere we moved, Nantakwa had to come with us. LOL!
