God's World
O world, I cannot hold thee close enough!
Thy winds, thy wide grey skies!
Thy mists, that roll and rise!
Thy woods, this autumn day, that ache and sag
And all but cry with colour! That gaunt crag
To crush! To lift the lean of that black bluff!
World, World, I cannot get thee close enough!
Long have I known a glory in it all,
But never knew I this;
Here such a passion is
As stretcheth me apart,—Lord, I do fear
Thou’st made the world too beautiful this year;
My soul is all but out of me,—let fall
No burning leaf; prithee, let no bird call.
I love this poem as it speaks... as poems often do... what I could not put into words when driving through the gorgeous autumnal scenery last week. I understood better the word "breathtaking".
Regarding the kitty... yes, we do want to go to the shelter and bring home a new furry family member. There are so many cats in need of a home and people like us who are in need of a cat.
Finances do not allow it right now (as there are a few basic costs involved) but bringing a kitty home will go on our priority list the next time hubby works at the bookstore (end of semester work).

I love the beautiful colors that our Lord created. He not only put the sun in the sky and tress swaying in the wind, he also added jewels of colors. The poem is so approriate.
Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful photo, Brenda. Our sunset the other night was that stunning!
This is a wonderful poem - I know what you mean about not being able to express the beauty of Autumn. It is stunning.
A view like that makes getting up early worth it!
Friend Debra
Your beautiful sunset picture is so much like the one in NC my son captured the other day. Beautiful! I enjoyed reading through the wonderful trip and visit with your daughter. I'm so glad you were able to go. I'm happy just thinking about your having another kitty. So many are being given up due to lost homes~so sad. I know God has the perfect one picked out to come into your loving home.
Hugs,
Lallee
The newspaper frequently has free kittens listed. If they don't find homes, they will probably end up at a shelter.
Are there low cost spay/neuter clinics in your area, that also do low cost immunizations? The Humane Society can probably give you the names of any low cost clinics in your area. That is how I found, "Every Creature Counts" in my area.
Another gorgeous painting by the Creator! I LOVE His work!
I enjoy the poetry and lines and quotes you share with us...... this is a lovely one by Edna St. Vincent Millay.
Thanks for the glimpse of what catches your heart!
Blessings for more than enough.... for you and for your new kitty to be!
Beautiful picture!
I hope you can get your little furry friend soon.
I must tell you, I hope you don't mind...but when I think of you, I think of someone quite well off.
I think of someone who has lots of character and grace. Someone who is wise and educated. Someone who is full of love and understanding.
Something money can't buy.
I wish I could help you get your kitty!
Blessings,
Beth
I know there are more animals in the shelters in the South - at least that is what I have heard, but here often when so many kittens have been born during the summer, the shelters are begging people to adopt them, and often some have been sponsored by someone who has paid all the expenses so someone who can't afford it can take them. Also, vet clinics often have adoptable kittens and they are free with shots and all! I know my kitties bring me such comfort and I know how you miss your furry friends. Praying you find just the right one or two! Enjoyed the lovely poem!
